第9回学術シンポジウムを開催しました

令和３年１２月１１日（土）、「難病のプロテオ医学研究2021　The Genetics, Biology and Epidemiology of Diseases of Poverty」と題して、プロテオサイエンスセンター第9回学術シンポジウムを開催しました。

今回のシンポジウムでは、世界規模で解決すべき喫緊の感染症の一つであるマラリアをテーマに、学内外の7名の演者の方々に最先端の研究成果について講演いただきました。マラリア原虫の感染メカニズムや、媒介蚊とマラリア原虫との生物学的相互作用の機構などについて熱のこもった議論が交わされました。

このシンポジウムをきっかけに当センターを拠点とした共同研究が一層活性化し、マラリアの新しいワクチン、予防、治療法の開発につながることを期待しています。
