Research Objectives

Recent developments in quantitative mass spectrometry have enabled highly sensitive and accurate quantification of the amounts of targeted proteins from a limited amount of biological sample. Using quantitative mass spectrometry and wheat germ cell-free protein synthesis technology, we are now focusing our effort on two major subjects: 1) Absolute quantitative measurements of human and mouse proteome using stable isotope-labeled recombinant protein library (SIRPL), and 2) Development of highly-sensitive mass spectrometry for clinical diagnosis application.
